It’s a gorgeous Saturday. Made more beautiful by the fact that my biggest work commitments are now over, my back feels better, and I got to sleep in until 7:30.
I love the amazing relief that comes after something big is over.
Gosh, I can only imagine how wonderful I’ll feel once the move is complete. :)
We readied the house for showings, just in case. I tackled Ethan’s graduation invitations (with two and a half weeks to spare!) and just had time to get things done. It was like coming up for air.
Showings have been few and far between. The last couple loved the house, but worried about the steepness of our back deck steps. If that’s the only negative, I think that’s pretty good.
I keep imagining worst case scenario commentaries as people walk through my house. What you don’t want to hear is that strangers toured your house and said things like, “Ah, it smells like feet in here!” or “What the holy hell were these people thinking with these paint colors?” or “These people have the decorating sense of a pooping lizard!”
If I had one of those setups like you see on the home networks where you could listen in as people toured your house, I think I’d go crazy. Some things are best left unknown.
Still, I will try and remember to not say every thought that comes into my head when touring other people’s homes… which we will be doing in a few short days. Yep, that’s right. Joe, Abby, and I are headed South! The hunt for a new home begins!
"See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland."
